Kari Traa is a part of Active Brands, a global sporting goods/apparel company based in Norway with offices in Europe and North America.  We are growing quickly, and this position is a new addition to our growing Kari Traa team in North America.  Our office is based in Broomfield, Colorado, located between Denver and Boulder


Job Summary:

The Sales Service Representative’s primary responsibility is to drive product sell-through at the store level. As the face of the Kari Traa brand, the sales service representative must be able to develop positive relationships with our dealers, retail staff, and our end-consumers through in-store product-knowledge clinics, public and retail-based promotional events, and weekly retail visits.  Moreover, s/he must provide on-going feedback to our sales, and marketing teams to ensure the brand presentation is positive and accurate at the retail level.

This position is based in our Broomfield office but requires substantial travel supporting our retail partners in the U.S. and Canada. 

Job Duties:

  • Schedule and conduct product knowledge clinics with retailers
  • Work with retailers to ensure Kari Traa is properly merchandised at the store level; suggest ways to improve merchandising and brand presence utilizing Kari Traa visual marketing materials
  • Develop relationships with key store/department managers and merchandisers
  • Organize in-store and public marketing events
  • Generate content for social media
  • Write weekly field reports to sales management
  • Assist our sales representatives at national and regional tradeshows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience with apparel retail and/or merchandising in the Outdoor/Ski/Activewear industry; experience with a women’s brand is a plus
  • Four-year college degree in fashion apparel/merchandising, business, marketing, or equivalent education and experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs; Excel spreadsheets and Outlook is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Outgoing personality; able to converse confidently and comfortably with other
  • A self-starter who brings passion, enthusiasm, and a strong drive to the job every day
  • Strong time-management skills; works well with deadlines and is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
  • A sense of humor is a must
  • Ability to travel extensively…up to 60% is required; some week-end work is inevitable but will be compensated
