JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate business development activities with key accounts and independent dealers.
  • Build professional, productive and long-term relationships with key customer accounts. 
  • Help to oversee force of independent sales representatives, including territory activity, growth programs for reps and specific account issue resolution.
  • Assists with sales forecasting, including establishing inventory levels for each season, and establishes performance goals.
  • Provides input to the marketing managers helping to develop strategies and advertising plans for multiple product lines.
  • Attend, represent and further company business at trade association meetings.
  • Frequently travels throughout United States to visit territory’s, key accounts, provide evaluations of sales representatives, identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new CRM tool.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        At least 5 years of proven sales experience in the sporting goods industry

·        Experience in managing large, national sporting goods accounts a plus

·        Proven track record of sales growth

·        Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, analytical and problem solving a must.

·        Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment while meeting or exceeding revenue deadlines

·        A Bachelor’s degree preferred or applicable work experience acceptable.
