Retail Operations Manager

Family owned locally based outdoor sporting goods retailer is seeking to hire an Operations Manager with a solid foundation in finance and accounting. We’re looking for an organized and driven Operations Manager to work closely with the CEO of the organization as well as work closely with 3 store locations and managers in the Tahoe |Truckee |Carson Valley region. They are an energetic company and they are looking for a passionate individual to join the organization and revitalize the record keeping and bring more organization and forecasting to our day to day operations and financials.

  • Improve the existing procedures for outgoing and incoming resources and track inventory for the warehousing department.
  • Develop and adhere to operations budget.
  • Review all financial statements for discrepancies
  • Identify trends in the market and areas of improvement
  • Ability to identify needs to improve product sales
  • Keep track of staffing requirements and budget to hire new talent as needed
  • Ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations.
  • Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.

·         Intermediate Excel skills.

·         2+ years operations experience

·         3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting

·         Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, business negotiation, organization and decision making

·         Ability to manage people, as this role has future management potential.
