Kari Traa is a leading European women’s specialty brand that is known for its fun bright designs in a wide range of categories including baselayer, training, ski and outerwear.  The brand was introduced to the North American outdoor/ski market three years ago with great success and has grown quickly – and we have developed significant partnerships with several specialty chains in the U.S. and Canada in relatively short time.   The Kari Traa brand is part of Active Brands, a Norwegian-based brand house with subsidiaries in Europe and North America.   Active Brands has grown rapidly over the past five years through strong organic growth and brand acquisitions.  The company had sales of approximately $120 Million in 2017 and employs about 200 people worldwide. Do you have a love of the outdoors that has translated to a successful sales career in women’s outdoor/active wear apparel? As the North American Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for our largest accounts and will have the opportunity to identify, pursue and capture new business with North America’s largest specialty retailers. You will be coordinating and collaborating with in-house departments as well as our global brand team to build programs and drive growth with our key partners.

What you'll be doing
Developing sales objectives and Go-to-Market plans for our national key accounts
Maintaining our double digit sales growth through category expansion and new initiatives
Developing strategies with your global team that supports Kari Traa’s growth within key accounts 
Cultivating product and merchandising strategies along with the Kari Traa design team
Identifying and manage new product opportunities, including SMU product categories
Driving in-store merchandising and display programs with our marketing team
Working closely with our marketing team developing specific account support programs 
Establishing budget and margin goals; keeping senior management up-to-date with reports and analyses
Providing leadership to drive initiatives including seasonal promotions and events
Fostering solid relationships with key buyers and their teams

What you'll bring to this position
BS degree in marketing, business or a related discipline, extra points for an MBA
At least 5 years of corporate sales/key account management in specialty apparel with a heavy emphasis on the women’s outdoor/ski/active wear market including national accounts
Demonstrated experience managing sales budgets and margins
Experience with SMU programs, working with designers and product development teams
Outstanding personal presentation – comfortable speaking to groups with confidence and poise
A strong command of written communication 
You thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment and multi-tasking is second nature
Readily available for travel – about 25% North America/International can be expected
