The Nine Quarter Circle Ranch is family owned and operated since 1946. We're nestled in the mountains nearby Yellowstone National Park, about 14 miles south of Big Sky. Our ranch provides guided horseback riding and fly fishing for all ability levels. We provide lodging in our rustic (but comfortable) cabins and delicious meals are prepared from scratch by our skilled chef. We're a family-friendly ranch and provide babysitting, have a kiddie wrangler on staff, and many activities for families to enjoy. Summary of Position
The Kitchen and Lodging Manager is responsible for a tasks essential to the ranch’s operation. In the summertime, managing the kitchen staff and ensuring high quality meals are serves to guests and staff is essential. Overseeing cabin staff and ensuring a high-quality lodging experience is also important. Duties vary by the season as described below.
A successful candidate will be an upbeat, active, self-motivated person who takes pride in the art of cooking. A demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and inspire staff is key.
Duties May-November: · Preparing high quality meals for 50-70 people, three times daily · Leading, managing, and delegating tasks to 6-8 kitchen staff · Leading, managing and delegating tasks to 4 cabin staff to ensure a high quality lodging experience · Creating a friendly work environment for staff and a fun experience for guests
Job Title: Corral Boss Job Supervisor: Ranch Manager Classification: Full-time, exempt Location: 15 miles south of Big Sky, MT
Summary of Position The Corral Boss is a full-time, on-site position whose job responsibilities include caretaking for ranch property and for 120-head of horses and other ranch pets. Ranch property includes 20 guest cabins, bunkhouse, barn, workshop, staff housing and Corral Boss’s residence. Other ranch infrastructure includes corrals, fishing pond, and picnic area. Maintenance and corral duties vary by season.

Duties May-November: · Creating a friendly work environment for staff and a fun, safe experience for guests · Managing and delegating tasks to 6-8 barn staff · Caretaking for 120 head of horses · Overseeing execution of daily rides for guests · Training young horses · Organizing and occasionally leading pack trips · Providing basic vet and hoof care · Fencing · Addressing general maintenance needs on the property
Duties November-April · Training young horses · Conducting maintenance and construction projects such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and metal projects
Qualifications · Experience training, wrangling, and caring for horses is a must · Experience packing & ability to pack and lead a multiple horse string · Proficient at plumbing, electrical work, and general property management tasks · Ability to manage and delegate tasks to staff · Experience with machinery · Ability to maintain an upbeat, positive attitude during times of high stress · Excellent communications skills · Self-motivated and able to work independently · Passionate about ranch life and sharing this unique lifestyle with others · First Aid/CPR · Hospitality experience desired · Ability to lift 50 pounds, walk & ride long distance
