The International/Corporate Wholesale Planner supports the revenue growth in the wholesale business through assortment selection and channel forecasting. The International/Corporate Wholesale Planner will be responsible for developing, communicating and managing merchandise plans/strategies that support the financial and marketing objectives of the company’s wholesale business. In addition, the International/Corporate Wholesale Planner will jointly develop the seasonal business strategy with the Wholesale Director & Manager and communicate product performance and customer purchasing trends to other areas of the company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Financial Planning
Supports Planning Manager in the development of seasonal business strategies focusing on the international and corporate sales channels.
Partners with international and corporate sales partners to develop financial plans, product assortment, seasonal buy-planning and product delivery timelines.
Positions product investments to ensure that smart risks are being taken, basic businesses are protected and financial targets are met.
Participates in strategic projects for process and operational improvements.
Works hand-in-hand with corporate sales team aligning on assortment offered to corporate customers and ensuring proper depth of inventory on-hand.
Works with Planning Manager to develop pre-season style forecasts as well as color, size and shipping profiles by channel and country addressing the various needs of international customer-base.
Analyzes and prepares invoice and sales reports for Wholesale, International Distributor and Corporate channels. Understands which product categories are driving the business and identify future opportunities.
Works with International Sales Team and Distributors to understand Global customer demand and generating specialized size curves to support
Attends global sales meetings to receive product downloads and be fully versed in all seasonal products and related strategies.
Understands market data and competitor activities; analyzes historical sales performance as well as utilize detailed product filters to edit the global product line in order to meet customer needs and maximize sales.
Participates in seasonal meetings – presenting key categories/items, marketed styles, and top styles by team.
Works with Planning Manager to develop Global assortment plans.
Manages basic operations within the Retail Systems for Outside Vendor.
Utilizes planning tools in the creation of Size, Color and shipping profiles by channel.
Visits markets to understand competitive landscape; documents pricing and product opportunities.
- Analyzes and prepares competitive market trend information and customer feedback.
- Actively manages professional development.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Operations.
A minimum of three years of professional experience in retail planning, buying and merchandising.
A proven ability to evaluate financial business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including a high proficiency in in working with complicated MS Excel models, pivot tables, and macros and the ability to learn technical applications quickly.
The ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
Knowledge of levers to pull in order to drive GMROI, inventory turn, GM%, revenue, unit sales, etc.
A proven ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions; aware of the impact and implications of decisions on other components of the organization.

The ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners, across markets, channels and geographies.
