Muy’Ono Hospitality - Group Sales/Admin. Assistant

The Group Sales/Administrative Assistant at Muy’Ono Hospitality will function as direct support to General Manager of SCUBA and Fly-Fishing operations. This person will be the primary strategic business leader in specialty group sales generation and oversee all aspects of administration of reservations before, during and after the booking process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support to the General Manager and Operations Manager
  • Identify current specialty groups that are actively operating and promoting destination travel programs 
  • Create and maintain relationships with agents, wholesalers, dive shops and fishing shops
  • Work directly with the General Manager and Marketing Team to implement sales strategies and maximize revenue
  • Create and analyze weekly reports and adjust strategy accordingly 
  • Create special package offerings and promotions based on demand 
  • Represent the company at sales and marketing events including trade shows, presentations and site visits
  • Schedule and attend in person meetings/presentations with specialty group travel coordinators, agents, wholesalers, dive shops and fishing shops
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing quotes, finalizing reservations, pre-trip planning (for the guest and resort teams) and post stay follow up
  • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure delivery of premium guest services before, during and after booking
  • Provide management with feedback on guest experiences and operational standards
  • Ensure ongoing development of company culture and values across the team 
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Prior fishing, fly fishing and SCUBA knowledge is a requirement
  • Experience in the SCUBA and fly fishing industry is preferred  
  • Prior group sales experience is preferred 
  • Great communication and follow-up skills 
  • Sales & marketing goal achievement
  • Computer skills: word processing, email, reservation software, creative software

Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university 
  • Strong finance background is preferred 
  • Previous hotel group sales or specialty market sales experience is preferred 
  • Experience working in the Caribbean/Belize is preferred
  • You must be able to pass a thorough background check as well as be drug free
  • You must be available to travel frequently throughout the US and Belize
