Strider is looking for someone to be the visionary and voice that inspires a love of riding while developing programs and opportunities that teach the future generations of riders! Great writing skills, a visionary and entrepreneurial mindset, great story-telling skills, and a solid knowledge of educational processes are a must.   A background in educational writing is preferred, but not required.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for what we do and the desire to teach the world about it.

Summary:

The Education and Benevolence Team Leader will be the visionary that helps guide the educational channel of Strider and will possess a desire to teach every child to balance and ride on two wheels.  They will guide a team of people in the development of content to support the channels of schools, organizations, and other public or non-profit entities that partner with us to teach kids to ride, as well as organizing the efforts of our benevolence and outreach within communities.  This position reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for working directly with the business development team that leads the Strider Education Foundation. (a 501c3 set up to provide bikes and learn to ride programs to schools)

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop education-oriented product positioning and messaging
  • Assist in the composition of educational and inspiring curricula and riding programs for a variety of platforms
  • Schedule and prioritize the education department tasks and deadlines while supervising a team of 4 to 6 people
  • Receive and prioritize requests for educational content and programs from other departments
  • Generate new curricula ideas that keep Strider at the top of the list of Learn-to-Ride experts
  • Work with the product development team and marketing team to align all efforts for the best Learn-to-Ride experience for our customers
  • Consult, collaborate and brainstorm with departments and staff within Strider and the Strider Education Foundation to identify new opportunities for growth in a rapidly changing and competitive environment

 

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • A knowledge of Strider and the market we serve
  • Be able to prioritize and complete projects under tight deadlines and work with different departments
  • Have the ability to collaborate with several people internally and remotely on the same project
  • Have 2 to 4 years of experience in education or a non-profit organization
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable working with various forms of technology

·         Experience working with children with special needs is a plus

Physical Demands:

·       Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 lbs

·       Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time using a phone, computer keyboard and monitor

·       Must be able to travel freely throughout the US and willing to occasionally assist after hour/weekend events

 

Location and hours:

·        This position is in Rapid City, SD

·        Regular office hours are Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm

·        Some travel and occasional support of weekend events should be anticipated

 

Pay:

$56 to $74k depending upon experience

This position reports to the Director of Operations.
