Position Summary: The Director of Cycling is responsible for all aspects related to cycling. You'd be executing the current visions of this company. These include execution and supervision of all clients’ cycling coaching, strength & conditioning, class instruction, operation and supervision of all cycling center classes, mechanical servicing of bicycles, retail sales and implementation of the various cycling related programs, events and functions that are planned and promoted by the company. You will have the opportunity to implement changes and add new revenue streams as you develop a deeper understanding of both the company growth objectives and clients' needs.  


As a Sherpa Cycling Coach primary coaching roles:

  1. Implement Sherpa’s annual training program that will be executed both indoors during scheduled classes and outdoors during the warmer months. All Sherpa clients have access to program. This program is centered on a double peak; one occurring ~ Mid June and the other ~ Mid-Late August. It’s the basis for which all Sherpa training occurs.
  2. Clients’ goals and needs will exceed that of the Sherpa general plan.  Individual coaching will be necessary for this population. You will be able to design and implement custom coaching based on their individual goals and race schedule.  

-Class Instructor

  • As the class instructor you have the responsibility of motivating your athletes through the workout of the day - based on a yearly cycling program. 
  • Must be proficient with a indoor training software, and the use of Windows as it relates to executing a positive class experience


  • You should be comfortable communicating with clients and able to bridge a gap between their cycling related problems and practical solutions. Solutions could be training, product or a combination of both. 


  • You should be able to execute cycling specific baseline testing ( FTP ), explain the results and apply it to clients’ training.

Able to organize and grow a development racing program (Rec – Cat 3)

Job Requirements 

 - Batchlors Degree related to physical education, exercise science, exercise physiology, or equiviant.  

 - CPR / AED Certification 

 - USAC or USAT Cocahing Certification preferred ( can obtain once hired too )

You should be proficient with organizing and leading group rides, teaching cycling classes, coaching clients for typical and a-typical cycling events and be a respected ambassador to Sherpa Cycling. Management experience relates mostly to managing customer service and client expectations while effectively engaging clients in the sport they love the most...cycling. They will need to be a great problem solver with great communication and project management skills
