Assistant Product Line Manager: Soft Goods & Hard Goods
Our Merchandising & Design Team has identified two new roles:
1. Assistant Product Line Manager – Soft Goods
2. Assistant Product Line Manager – Hard Goods
These are full-time, in-house positions based in Bozeman, Montana.
While there will be some differences in the accountabilities and deliverables between the two silos, generally, the APLM is a support role to the Product Line Manager in their respective silo and is both a business analyst and line coordination role; championing the efficient and timely day-day operation of the line to meet corporate cadence and milestone dates and goals. The APLM aids in market research, business analytics, line management, go-to-market, SMU management, and utilizing data-driven and consumer-driven business tools to inform decision-making. To be effective in this role, the APLM must be skilled at collaborating with the PLM, the Sr. Team and across other internal departments.
Outcomes of this role include:
Ø Supports the long-range planning and day-to-day activities of managing the product lines to meet established goals and objectives.
Ø Execution of assigned line management activities to ensure internal systems are up-to-date and hit established calendar dates.
Ø Build and maintain visual tools required to effectively communicate long-range and seasonal line planning decisions for the product lines and meet calendar dates.
Ø Maintain the line plans: product initiatives, product forecasts, sku analysis, volume analysis and sample management; produce market share analysis, catalog management and price list documentation.
Successful candidates should possess:
Ø BS/BA or relevant experience in the outdoor industry with proven success
Ø Experience with Microsoft Excel is required, experience with other Microsoft programs and Adobe Creative Suite programs desired
Ø Detail orientated
Ø Strong communication skills
Ø Problem-solving attitude
Ø Ability to adhere to processes and timelines
